Britney Spears Resurfaces, Smiles Away Shocking Lawsuit

What lawsuit?

Britney Spears was all smiles in Los Angeles on Thursday. Wearing a ruffled white shirt, jeans and sunglasses, the 28-year-old singer was beaming as she grabbed lunch.

It was Spears' first public outing since Wednesday's shocking news: seeking unspecified damages, a former bodyguard has sued the star for sexual harassment and emotional distress.

In papers filed Wednesday, ex-security guard Fernando Flores charged that Spears repeatedly exposed herself to hiim, performed sex acts in his presence -- and used his belt to "viciously" beat her son Sean, nearly 5.

In a statement, Spears slammed the suit as an "unfortunate situation where someone is trying to take advantage of the Spears family and make a name for himself. The Department of Children and Family Services conducted a proper investigation surrounding Mr. Flores' accusations and have closed the case without any further action."

Also rising in her defense: Spears' ex Kevin Federline. His attorney called Flores' allegations "a product of economic motives" and "baseless."
