“FBI, Police Seek Niles TCF Bank Robber”

Niles, Ill. - A man wearing a brown fedora and sunglasses robbed a bank Tuesday evening in north suburban Niles.

The man did not display a weapon, but verbally announced the robbery about 6:55 p.m. at the TCF Bank branch at 7759 N. Milwaukee Ave., according to a release from the FBI.

The robber is described as a Hispanic man about 25 to 30, 5-foot-10 with a medium build and scruffy facial hair, the release said.

He was wearing a brown fedora with a black band and a small red feather, red or brown thick-framed sunglasses, dark-colored jacket and jeans, the release said. He spoke English and did not have an accent.

FBI and Niles police are investigating.
