BAINBRIDGE

BURGLARY, CHILLICOTHE ROAD: A Cleveland Heights man, 21, faces felony charges after he stole two pairs of sunglasses from Drug Mart Dec. 1.

Store security observed him remove sensor tags and place the items, worth $24.47, in his pocket.

When confronted outside the store, he tried to elbow the store employee in the head and pushed him out of the way. The man took off running.

Police followed his tracks to the front door of a nearby home, where a police dog found him hiding in a closet. The subject resisted arrest and was bitten by the police dog.

He was charged with a felony robbery, for pushing the employee, felony burglary for entering a home, and with resisting arrest.

He denied stealing the sunglasses.

THEFT, AURORA ROAD: An unknown man stole a 20-ounce can of beer every day between Thanksgiving and Nov. 29, according to a convenience store employee.

The beer is worth $1.50 for each can.

Police told store personnel to call them when it happens again.

SUSPICIOUS, CHILLICOTHE ROAD: A 45-year-old woman told police that someone has been entering her barn, tampering with feed, moving things out of place and letting her animals out for the past two months.

SUSPICIOUS, MERRY OAKS TRAIL: A man sent three pornographic photos to a woman's cell phone sometime before Dec. 4.

She told police she did not recognize the man's phone number.

When police called him, he refused to identify himself.

Police warned him to stop.

THEFT, MARKETPLACE DRIVE: A 19-year-old woman was charged with stealing $124 in clothing from Kohl's Sunday evening.

An employee noted that she entered the dressing room with a number of tops and exited without them.

She paid for several items before leaving the store with stolen merchandise. She told police that she saw the items but did not have the money to pay for them.

SHOPLIFTING, MARKETPLACE: A grand jury will decide a Garfield Heights man's fate stemming from a Nov. 30 incident.

The man was shopping with another man and a woman.

He said the woman told him what to pick up and place in the shopping cart. Once the cart was full, the couple left the store.

He pushed the cart with more than $500 in unpaid merchandise out of the store to look for the missing couple, where he was detained by store security.

THEFT, MARKETPLACE: A 21-year-old Bainbridge man was arrested after he stole five video games from Walmart and Target Dec. 1.

Store security observed him using an ice pick and knife to remove the games from packaging and put them in his pocket.

He left the store, but an off-duty policeman ordered him to go back into the store.

RUSSELL

BURGLARY, KINSMAN ROAD: Someone entered a man's barn and took items between Nov. 10-Dec. 3.

He told police he returned from out of town and found the barn's side door open. Missing are a chain saw, wheelchair and an old phonograph.

He also saw tracks indicating a truck pulled up to the barn ramp.

Police have no suspects.

ASSIST A MOTORIST, SURREY DOWNS DRIVE: Police saw a man with a gas can walking on Kinsman Road Sunday evening.

The officer gave him a ride to his stalled car and helped him on his way.
