Not sure those sunglasses are good fit for your facial structure? EBay on Friday released an updated version of its iPhone fashion app that includes "augmented reality" to allow shoppers to try on sunglasses virtually before purchasing.

The "See It On" sunglasses feature is available on the iPhone 4. Using the device's front-facing camera, users can snap a photo of themselves, pinch and zoom to perfect measurements, and then scroll through available sunglasses for purchase. The app will virtually place the sunglasses on the face, so users can see how they might look in real life. Like what you see? Use the app's "Buy It Now" function to snap them up.

Available styles include aviator, novelty, fashion, giro, wayfarer, and rimless, as well as frames and lenses in multiple colors, eBay said. The app also now provides access to expanded categories, like jewelry, watches, and weddings.

The free fashion app, which debuted in July, already utilized augmented reality for its "outfit builder" feature. For that, users had to use the rear-facing camera and have a friend take a photograph or take a self portrait in the mirror to help build outfits. It also includes a virtual style gallery, a personalized closet to save items, and a customized view of eBay. It is available now in the App Store.

Last month, eBay announced that its mobile sales in the U.S. jumped 134 percent during the 2010 holiday season to almost $100 million . The company's fashion app helped boost clothing and accessories to the second most popular category during the season. Between Black Friday and December 12, it was number one.
